Sustainable Agroculture, Forest Management and themed cottages. That is the core of our concept.
Our forests sustain our climate, provide us with many natural products including wood, herbs, mushrooms and game. And yet most of the management of it is invisible, and in many countries there is next to no forest. We want to combine these elements together to give people the opportunity to stay in a beautifully themed cottage in an enchanting Swedish forest, and in so doing get acquainted with the many wonderful things connected with the forest.
Each cottage is themed after a particular fable animal, and it and its story shapes the look and feel of the cottage. Each cottage is also connected to a specific topic related to the forest. For example, Badger is a farmer, and his cottage is styled like a classic farmer’s house. Close by you can find his meadow, where you can see how we grow herbs, fruit trees, and keep our bees. Visitors can see how things work, and learn new things while having a lot of opportunities for activities in the area.
Currently, Fabelskogen is in the startup phase, and we are looking to obtain the funding required to purchase a stretch of forest land and set up the first cottages. As such, this site is still considered to be under construction, and we update it regularly.
